Doumbek & frame drum classes in Honolulu on techniques, rhythms & the improvisational ensemble methods of New World Rhythmatism.
New World Rhythmatism is a collaborative approach to community percussion, dance, and chant. It uses a set of calls, gestures, and general frameworks to create group improvisations. Each person acts as both leader and follower, and applies NWR methods to co-produce complex musical ideas and spontaneous choreographies.
